Arsenal and Germany forward Mesut Ozil stirred up some excitement ahead of November’s North London by playing Tottenham in a game of Pro Evolution Soccer 2017.

In the latest edition of how footballers like to spend their time off, we see the 28-year-old playing a game on his rather large TV. The German posted the picture on his Instagram, saying that he was playing as Arsenal against Tottenham.

That must mean he’s looking forward to playing Spurs. Or he just likes beating up Spurs in video games like most Arsenal fans do. The Arsenal star captioned the photo for his 13.5million followers: ‘Evening activity #NorthLondonDerby #PES2017 #home.’

Either way, good on him for playing the superior football game. I do have to question his decision to have Francis Coquelin in his starting line-up, though. That aside, hopefully Ozil gets plenty of rest of Saturday’s trip to Stoke.

He’s struggled with an ankle problem in recent weeks and didn’t look 100% fit against Leicester last Friday. We don’t have much creativity in the team when he’s not there, and with Alexis’ continued absence, we need him more than ever.
