According to reports in Spain, Levante are now interested in buying Lucas Perez, with Deportivo talks still stalling.

There has been no progress reported in recent days between Deportivo and Arsenal in regards to the transfer of Lucas Perez, so unsurprisingly other clubs are now reported to be interested in the availability of the Spaniard.

According to Marca, via talkSPORT, Levante have now shown an interest in bringing the player back to Spain, and are preparing to make a move before the window closes.

Last season, ucas scored just one league goal for Arsenal in 11 Premier League appearances. Although he fared much better in the cups and in Europe, Wenger never relied on the 28-year-old enough to give him a good run in the side to prove himself, and the limited minutes he received clearly affected his performances, in my opinion.

Arsenal would most likely only be interested in a permanent deal, I feel, as Lucas Perez will be 29 in less than a fortnight and the Gunners would have even more trouble selling a player almost in his thirties with a year less on his contract next summer.

Perez now has until Thursday to try and push through a deal, or he’ll end up stuck with Arsenal for at least the next few months.
