Kevin De Bruyne believes that Alexis Sanchez would be a good addition to Manchester City… in other news, water is wet.

De Bruyne believes that while he has no insider information on the comings and goings of City’s squad during the transfer window, Alexis would be a good addition because, you know, he’s quite good.

“He’s a very good player, obviously but I don’t know what’s happening about the other transfers,” the Belgium international told Sky Sports News while away with his national team.

“I think City is doing the business perfectly this summer and if they want him they will try everything to get him. And if he comes to us that’s a good addition.”

City goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, also spoke to the media during a press conference for Chile, saying that whether his compatriot stays at Arsenal or not, he’s still got a ‘great future’ ahead of him.

City, who have been linked with Alexis for the entire summer, reportedly put in a £50m bid for the 28-year-old on Tuesday night. However, Arsenal rebuffed it, as Arsene Wenger always said they would, and are allegedly waiting for something in the region of £70m.

Although Alexis scored 30 goals over all competitions for the Gunners last season, there’s no telling how he’ll perform this term given that he clearly wants to leave. His display against Liverpool during his first game since the break wasn’t exactly inspiring.

The forward has under a year left on his current deal, so if City don’t manage to come to a deal with Arsenal, he’ll remain in north London and most likely leave for free next year… unless he has a miraculous change of heart.
