Reports from Italy have categorically denied Juventus having an interest in Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

There were some reports floating around that Juventus were interested in signing Jack Wilshere to bolster their midfield. However, Gazzetta dello Sport via Sport Witness have dismissed those claims.

Juventus have a set list of midfield targets and Wilshere is certainly not a part of it. It’s my belief that Italian media tends to revel in transfer rumours and has never been above nonsense gossip.

That one paper opted to clear up a foreign rumour is actually quite remarkable. It’s fair to say then that Wilshere to Juventus won’t be happening anytime soon.

There was interest from Italy in the midfielder, as Sampdoria were exploring the possibility of signing him. However, nothing has come of that.

Wilshere looks to be staying at Arsenal this season, with few clubs willing to take a chance of fitness record and sign him for the fee that Arsenal want.

The English playmaker is currently building up fitness after a leg fracture suffered in April. He featured for the Arsenal U23s against Derby this evening.
