Alex Iwobi has been called up for Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon.

Iwobi has been called up for Nigeria’s 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon at the beginning of September.

The first clash takes place on 1 September at Uyo before the return fixture at Yaounde three days later.

If Iwobi gets a start for Nigeria, it looks as if he could end up making more for his country this season than for Arsenal.

The 21-year-old has featured 11 times for his country and scored once.

So far this season, he’s made one appearance for Arsenal against Stoke and not made a single start.

Last season he made 18 starts out of 26 Premier League appearances.
