Chelsea fans have dug up old tweets from Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to prove he was a fan of the club years ago.

The 24-year-old appears to be edging closer to a Chelsea move after reports of the two clubs agreeing a fee.

The Chelsea supporters, perhaps wanting to know a bit more about their potential new signing, decided to dig through his tweets and discovered that Chamberlain may have had a soft spot for them all along, reports the Metro.

This was from the 2012 Champions League final between Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

Of course, players will be interested in a major cup final. There’s nothing unusual here. Then there’s his reaction to Drogba’s late equaliser on the night.

It’s this tweet that got the Chelsea fans interested, and they bombarded him with welcoming messages after finding it again.

However, if you believe reports, the Ox would prefer a move to Liverpool and not Chelsea. That would hardly suggest he’s bleeding blue.

In any case, it’s looking very likely now that the English midfielder will not be wearing the red and white of Arsenal any longer and will soon move on to a bigger salary and less comfortable subs bench elsewhere.
