Inter Milan defender Jeison Murillo is set to turn down a number of Premier League offers to sign for Valencia this summer, according to reports.

The centre-back, who currently plays at the San Siro, has been linked with a move away this summer, with four Premier League clubs reportedly showing interest in his signature, says talkSPORT.

Arsenal and Everton were the two most-interested clubs, although Tottenham Hotspur and Stoke City have been linked too. The 25-year-old made 34 appearances for Inter in 2016/17 and has made 25 appearances for Colombia in the last three years.

Although he spent his youth career in South America, Murillo then moved to Europe and has since played for two clubs in Italy and four in Spain. He looks to be adding a fifth to the Spanish tally, as he is apparently going to sign with Valencia by the end of the week.

Arsenal could yet still be in the market for a centre-back. Gabriel Paulista is returning, but there have been rumours that Calum Chambers might be on the way out and Krystian Bielik may be off on loan.

Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker will probably struggle to play every game due to their injury problems. That only leaves Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding, although other players are able to fill in. Nevertheless, it doesn’t look like Murillo will be the man to bolster their backline.
