Football pundit Mina Rzouki told the Daily Cannon that Inter Milan and Juventus are interested in Arsenal’s Shkodran Mustafi.
Earlier this week, reports emerged from the tabloids in England and Italy that Mustafi was being targeted by the two Serie A giants. Here at the Daily Cannon, we were very sceptical about the stories. In fact, we pretty much thought they were nonsense.
But after speaking to football pundit Mina Rzouki, who works with BBC Sport and ESPN, she revealed to us that there’s truth to the rumour, albeit still with some scepticism.
According to Tuttosport they are looking at him. He’s not their top target. I can’t confirm the source so it looks more like an idea being

Floated as opposed to genuine interest.

Arsene Wenger’s press conference this morning cast some doubt on Mustafi’s future too. While firmly denying any rumours surrounding Alexis Sanchez and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, he was much more vague about the German centre-back.
Wenger interesting on Mustafi – Very non-committal on his future, compared to Ox/Sanchez for example.

Very interesting, and possibly bonkers, that Arsene Wenger didn’t rule out the possibility of Mustafi’s departure when asked this morning

This has led some to believe that there could actually be something to the rumours and that Arsenal are indeed willing to let Mustafi go.
Whether or not a deal could happen would depend on Juventus or Inter Milan, but you’d think if Wenger would have rubbished the rumours if there was nothing to them.
It’s all very bizarre, what with there being a week left in the window and Arsenal being in need of more centre-backs, not less. We’ll see if anything more develops in the coming days.
