Cohen Bramall could be sent on loan this season according to a recent report.

The 21-year-old featured for Arsenal during the tour of Australia and China and applied himself well, even if he did struggle against top-class opposition in Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

A loan to another club seems like the next natural step in his development, and according to the Mirror, there are a host of Championship clubs interested in taking him, as well as Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam.

However, it should be noted that the Mirror makes a number of assumptions in their article, which was written by ‘The Football Spy’.

One is that Bramall was apparently told he’d be back-up to Sead Kolasinac this season, as Arsenal would be selling both Nacho Monreal and Kieran Gibbs.

From the Mirror’s article

While Gibbs isn’t in Wenger’s plans this season and has been training away from the first team all summer, there’s been zero indication that Arsenal want to sell Monreal.

If anything, Wenger has played up the importance of Monreal in the Arsenal squad, due to his ability to play as a centre back as well as a wing back.

Bramall joined Arsenal from Hednesford Town last January, and isn’t yet ready to be a backup member of the Arsenal squad.

That doesn’t make a loan less likely but does make you question the report somewhat regardless.
