With the 2017/18 season a month and a half away, Arsenal Women have released their fixtures list and the pre-season friendlies.

So far Arsenal have announced two pre-season friendlies.

The first game will be played against Turbine Potsdam on August 23 near Berlin, Germany. Arsenal will then play Everton at Borehamwood on August 31 at 7.30pm.

The club mentions a busy pre-season schedule so games will be added before the FA WSL campaign starts.

The full season fixtures list as follows:

  • Sun 24 Sep: Birmingham H
  • Sun 01 Oct Man City A
  • Sun 08 Oct Bristol City H
  • Sun 29 Oct Everton A

Obviously, Champions League qualification is the number one target and the first two games will be a good indication of the strength of the team.

With ten teams, the league now has 18 games which allows a little more leeway for dips in form. But more than two defeats will probably be the end of Arsenal’s season.

In term of cup games, the FA have not yet disclosed the fixtures list, but thanks to London Bees, we already know that Arsenal will play London Bees, Millwall Lionesses, Reading Women and Watford Ladies.

For the FA Cup, the FA WSL teams should enter in the fourth round proper to be played on Sunday, February 4, and will have to win four games to reach Wembley and the final on Saturday, May 5.
