Arsenal Women take on FFC Turbine Potsdam at Karl-Liebknecht Stadion in a friendly match this evening.

Arsenal’s friendly against FFC Turbine Potsdam kicks off at 5pm UK time.

It’s their first game since their FA WSL clash against Bristol City on 3 June, who they beat 5-0 with goals from Louise Quinn, Jordan Nobbs, Chloe Kelly, Danielle van de Donk, and Beth Mead.

Turbine Potsdam are a German club who finished third in the women’s Bundesliga last season.

Four days ago, they drew 1-1 at home to PSG in a friendly match.

They also won the UEFA Women’s Champions League competition in 2004/05 and 2009/10, and are the only team from the former East to win the league title, which they’ve taken home six times.

Arsenal’s FA WSL season doesn’t kick off until 24 September when they play Birmingham at Meadow Park. However, they do have a friendly against Everton on 31 August.

Last season, they also finished third and have won 43 major trophies, making them the most successful women’s team in England.
