Arsenal are favourites to sign Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic, according to reports from Italy.

The 24-year-old Croatian midfielder has been linked with Arsenal a few times over the years, though there’s never been anything concrete.

However, according to The Express, who cite Italian TV programme SportItalia, that could soon change.

They say that Inter are willing to listen to offers and that Arsenal will be the first in line to sign the player.

Brozovic expected in Arsenal shirt ‘sooner rather than later

There’s no given reason for why Inter are selling Brozovic, or why Arsenal would be especially interested in signing him, but apparently it could happen.

Brozovic is a central midfielder that has been used on the right hand side of midfield by both Inter and Croatia. He’s known to be an industrious if unspectacular player.

He joined Inter Milan from Dinamo Zagreb in January 2015 and has made 79 appearances for the Serie A giants.

He currently has 27 caps for Croatia and was a starter during the 2016 European Championships in France.

Arsenal have been linked with numerous midfielders this summer, including Nice’s Jean-Michael Seri and Sporting Lisbon’s William Carvalho.

However, Arsene Wenger has said that he’s currently focusing on selling players, casting doubt over any future incomings.
