The women’s Euro final will see hosts, the Netherlands, take on Denmark, with four Arsenal players potentially lining up for the Oranje.

The Netherlands have beaten Denmark 1-0 before in the group stage but this means nothing in a final.

They’ve also beaten Norway 1-0 and Belgium 2-1, finishing top of their group.

After this, the hosts beat Sweden 2-0 in the quarter-finals and England 3-0 in the semis.

Denmark, on the other hand, also beat Belgium and Norway (1-0 each) in the group stages, were victorious against eight-time champions Germany in the quarter-finals (2-1) and won 3-0 on penalties against Austria in the semis.

Neither country have made the final before, so this will be huge for both.

Denmark have made the semis five times and the Netherlands have only made them once.

Who to look out for

Naturally, unless you’re Danish, you’re probably going to be keeping an eye on our four Arsenal players: Vivianne Miedema, Daniëlle van de Donk, Sari van Veenendaal and Dominique Janssen.

1. Vivianne Miedema

Miedema is just 21 and only signed for Arsenal from Bayern Munich in May but has been massively impressive during the tournament so far.

The forward has scored twice in five appearances during the Euros.

2. Daniëlle van de Donk

The 26-year-old midfielder has been at Arsenal for two years. She’s made 15 appearances for the Gunners so far and scored three goals.

Van de Donk has scored once in five appearances for the Netherlands during the Euros.

3. Sari van Veenendaal

The 27-year-old goalkeeper has been at Arsenal for two years after spending five at FC Twente.

She’s been the Netherland’s #1 during the Euros, playing 450 minutes and making 15 saves.

4. Dominique Janssen

The 22-year-old has made 23 appearances for Arsenal since signing from Essen two years ago.

Unfortunately, she’s not featured in the Euros so far.

The final will take place on Sunday 6 August at 5pm.
