Reiss Nelson and Joe Willock have continued to train with Arsenal’s first team ahead of the Emirates Cup this weekend.

Nelson and Willock both featured in Arsenal’s pre-season matches in Australia and China, and will most likely be included in the squads to face Benfica and Sevilla at the weekend, according to Jeorge Bird.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is already part of the first team, is also expected to be involved, despite frustrating Gooners with a poor display against Chelsea in Bejing.

Jack Wilshere is close to coming back to full training after suffering another hairline fracture to his fibula while on loan at Bournemouth.

Hector Bellerin, Rob Holding and Calum Chambers have also returned from their extended break after their involvement in the European u21 Championships.

Someone obviously managed to sedate and wrangle wantaway forward, Lucas Perez, into a van and bring him to London Colney, as he was in training.

Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy, who are both heavily rumoured to be on the move this summer, featured in Arsenal XI’s 4-0 thrashing of Boreham Wood on Thursday night. While youngsters Cohen Bramall, Eddie Nketiah, Jon Toral and Krystian Bielik also played. This suggests that some will feature at the Emirates Cup but perhaps not until Sunday.

Jeff Reine-Adelaide, who was ruled out towards the end of last season with injury, is also back in the fold after playing in Thursday night’s friendly.

According to Arsenal.com, Gabriel is still a few weeks away.

Arsenal face Benfica at 4:20pm Saturday and Sevilla at the same time on Sunday.
