West Brom have emerged as new favourites to sign Kieran Gibbs.

With just one year left on his current deal, it’s looking as if Arsenal could offload Gibbs this summer, and now West Brom have emerged as favourites to sign him.

According to Birmingham Mail, the odds on the 27-year-old leaving the Gunners for the Baggies have been cut dramatically after a flurry of bets.

Tony Pulis is allegedly keen to sign another left-back since he had to make do with right-back Allan Nyom and midfielder Chris Brunt in the position last season.

Despite showing flashes of potential, Gibbs’s injury problems have plagued his career and last season he only made 22 appearances over all competitions – 11 of which were in the Premier League.

In total, the lad’s missed 99 games through injury since 2009. At another club, he’ll have the chance to regular minutes and perhaps stay fit.

Gibbs has been left in London as the rest of the Arsenal squad continue their pre-season tour in China, which suggests that there’s some truth to the rumours that he’s leaving.

Newcastle have also been linked, while Southampton were previously favourites.
