Wojciech Szczesny’s move from Arsenal to Juventus should be announced in the next 24 hours, with the Polish shot-stopper pictured undergoing his medical.

According to AS, the £10m deal is imminent and will see Szczesny end an 11-year association with the Gunners. Signed from Legia in 2006, he went on to make more than 180 appearances in all competitions and will leave with a heavy heart.

Szczesny has become one of the best goalkeepers in Europe after a two-year loan spell at AS Roma. Despite his rise to prominence since his temporary move from Arsenal, there was still no place in the side upon his return.

After losing his place in the side for being caught smoking in the shower, there are rumours manager Arsene Wenger and the goalkeeper don’t see eye to eye. With David Ospina wanting out of the club and Emi Martinez inexperienced at a high level, many feel Arsenal are foolish letting Szczesny leave the club.

But with the goalkeeper having 12 months left on his deal and having no deal contract on the table, Arsenal are looking to extract as much money as possible from a quick sale, rather than lose him for free next season.
