Santi Cazorla has eased fears he could miss all of next season after sharing a picture of himself training on Facebook.

  • Reports suggested he could be out until April 2018
  • Arsenal have denied that there has been another set back
  • Cazorla is working hard to return as quickly as possible

Arsenal fans feared the worst when news emerged yesterday of another setback for Cazorla. The Spaniard has been struggling to recover from an achilles injury sustained last October and was feared to be out until at least April 2018.

However, despite not being able to give a timeframe for his returen, Arsenal denied that there was another setback. The player then shared a photo of himself doing rehab on his Facebook account. Cazorla wrote: “Double session day! Shortening deadlines and increasing smile!”

Although he may be back sooner than April, Cazorla did admit that it’d be at least five months until he was ready to play again.

“You feel like throwing in the towel but my desire to play football is above everything,” he told Spanish radio station Cadena SER, as quoted by the Metro. “I haven’t been given a time frame. It’s very difficult to put a date, but I don’t think it will be before five months.”
