Manchester City are reportedly willing to pay Alexis Sanchez £320k-per-week, which would make him one of the highest paid players in the world.

City are allegedly ready to hand Alexis a ridiculous £320k-per-week in order to bring him to Manchester this summer, claim the Daily Mail.

Not only would this reportedly make him the best paid player at the club by far, considering even Sergio Aguero apparently ‘only’ earns £160k-per-week, it would make him one of the richest players in the world.

According to the Mirror, he would be level with the likes of Hulk, who plays for Chinese Super League club, Shanghai SIPG, and above Manchester United’s £89m signing, Paul Pogba.

Would City really pay him that much and completely blow their wage structure (or what’s left of it) out the window considering their other top players will then want to get paid just as much?

The Chilean, who has one year left on his contract with Arsenal, appears to not be signing a new deal with the Gunners and has made his priority of playing in the Champions League very clear.

While Paris Saint-Germain have been the main club in the frame over the last week, reports linking the 28-year-old with a move to City for a reunion with Pep Guardiola have started up again.

Arsene Wenger insists that Alexis is staying at Arsenal next season, even if he doesn’t pen a new deal, and claims via the club’s website that the forward will be back in training on Sunday.

However, Alexis may have other plans considering he’s informed fans that he’s ‘sick’, which Gooners aren’t taking too kindly to.
