Real Madrid have reportedly agreed a £120m fee for Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe.

  • The sales of Danilo and Alvaro Morata have allowed them to sign Mbappe
  • The deal is expected to be completed in the next two weeks
  • £120m will be a world-record fee

The Kylian Mbappe saga is back, and this time there are reports that he’s close to joining Real Madrid. According to their own information, The Sun claim Real have agreed a world-record £120m fee for the 18-year-old striker.

They report the La Liga giants always intended to sign Mbappe but needed to sell a couple of players to balance the books first. Now Danilo has moved to Manchester City and Alvaro Morata has moved to Chelsea, they are apparently free to sign the Frenchman.

The Mbappe saga had gone quiet after an initial flurry of interest from several clubs, including Arsenal. It seemed he was set to remain at Monaco. However, now that Madrid have sold Morata, they could make a serious attempt to sign him.
