RB Leipzig chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has said he is “bored” of speculation about the futures of Naby Keita and Emil Forsberg.

  • Naby Keita and Emil Forsberg have been linked away after successful seasons
  • Arsenal are one of the club believed to be interested
  • Both players are not for sale

Keita and Forsberg had outstanding seasons last year and helped Leipzig to an unexpected second placed finish in the Bundesliga. Inevitably, speculation was rife about where the two would end up during the summer. However, Leipzig’s chief executive Oliver Mintzlaff has made it clear that the duo aren’t going anywhere.

Asked if Lepizig were “immune” to offers, he said, as reported by ESPN: “Yes. And that topic is boring. It’s only our second Bundesliga season, our squad’s still the youngest and most likely also the most inexperienced. Sure, it would be great to start where we left off. It’s an advantage that there’s no upheaval.”

Both Keita and Forsberg have been linked with Arsenal this summer. There had been reports that Keita could leave for €70m, while Forsberg had a €40m price tag. It now appears that neither are for sale as Leipzig want to keep hold of their best players going into the Champions League next season.
