Arsenal forward Lucas Perez has been left out of the club’s 25-man squad for a two-week pre-season tour, igniting rumours that he’ll be leaving this summer.

The Spanish attacker has been linked with a return to La Liga ahead of the new season, with former side Deportivo La Coruna keen to bring him back to the Estadio Riazor, reports the Mirror.

Perez hardly featured for Arsenal after signing for £17m last summer, making just two Premier League starts. The 28-year-old scored and created an impressive nine goals in 401 minutes in all competitions, but was used sparingly in the big games and more frequently in the domestic cups.

With the striker sitting behind Alexis Sanchez, Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud in the pecking order last season, while the likes of Alex Iwobi, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott featured more heavily in wider roles, it’s clear Perez has no future at the Emirates Stadium.

He’s expected to be sold this summer provided clubs can match his asking price.
