AS Monaco manager Leonardo Jardim has suggested that there won’t be many more outgoings from the club, putting pressure on Arsenal’s chase for Lemar.

Thomas Lemar was identified as one of Arsenal’s key targets for the summer, along with Sead Kolašinac and Alexandre Lacazette. With the other two deals wrapped up, Arsenal are now reportedly focusing on Lemar, but aren’t too optimistic about their chances, according to BBC Sport.

There are so many players who had a good season with Monaco and are subsequently linked with big clubs as a result. Monaco have already sold Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, Tiemoué Bakayoko to Chelsea and Benjamin Mendy is also heavily linked with a City switch.

Jardim spoke to L’Equipe to confirm the Ligue 1 side will not be selling many more players. He said: “When I listen to the media, Fabinho, Mbappe, Jemerson, Lemar, Sidibe are all leaving. But we are a team and some will stay.”

This doesn’t completely rule out any further exits, since he’s said that only “some” will stay, but Arsenal will need to complete the deal as soon as possible.
