Monaco winger Thomas Lemar has reportedly agreed personal terms with Arsenal and will sign a contract worth £90k-per-week once the two clubs agree on an asking price.

According to The Sun, Lemar‘s representatives have agreed a considerably pay rise for the winger but Arsenal don’t appear to be any closer to agreeing a fee for his services.

The Gunners are believed to have upped their bid to £40m after having a £30 offer rejected, but Monaco reportedly want closer to £80m.

Arsenal recently smashed their club transfer record to sign Alexandre Lacazette from Lyon, and their pursuit of Lemar may see them come close to matching the £44m fee.

Lemar is keen for the switch and is coming off the back of a fantastic campaign, scoring and creating 19 goals as Monaco won the Ligue 1 title.

The French international also scored and created six goals in 12 Champions League games as the Monaco reached the semi-finals.

Arsenal lead the race for his signature and could well be announcing Lemar as their third notable signing of the summer if the two sides can agree a fee.
