Leicester City have given clubs a deadline to sign Riyad Mahrez.

  • Leicester have given clubs until August 11th to sign Mahrez
  • Their asking price could be between £30m and £35m
  • They have rejected a bid from Roma

With the new season just three weeks away from kicking-off, Leicester are keen to sort out the future of Riyad Mahrez before it drags on and becomes a deadline day drama.

According to Football London, the Foxes have given clubs until August 11 to sign the winger.

It’s reported City are becoming less confident about holding onto Mahrez and are hoping to receive between £30m and £35m for him.

Arsenal, Tottenham and Roma have been heavily linked with Mahrez this summer, but as yet only Roma has made a bid.

That offer was “politely declined” by Leicester, as it was way below their asking price.

Arsenal have yet to make a bid and will now have a couple of weeks to get a deal sorted.

Mahrez is currently involved in Leicester’s pre-season and played in the Premier League Asia Trophy.
