Galatasaray have failed in their attempts to sign Mario Lemina on a season-long loan deal with Juventus awaiting a formal bid from Arsenal.

That’s according to recent developments in Italian newspaper Tuttosport, who say the Turkish side’s interest has proved unsuccessful.

We covered the news regarding Galatasaray’s interest earlier in the week, though it seems the reported €8m bid was actually an initial loan offer with a buying option.

Juventus’ asking price is £17.5m and they’re keen to make profit from the Gabon international, who signed for £8m from Marseille last summer.

The Old Lady are keeping their options open as a result, with both Arsenal and Watford reportedly still keen on the midfielder.

In the hope that either club will make an offer for a permanent transfer, Juventus rejected Galatasaray’s advances and will wait patiently for concrete interest.

Arsenal may need to offload a couple of players to fit Lemina in the side, however. The likes of Francis Coquelin and Mohamed Elneny might be fearful of their futures.
