Juventus look set to compete with Arsenal over the signing of Monaco winger Thomas Lemar.

It seems that Arsenal will no longer have a clean run at the Monaco winger.

For a while, it seemed that Arsenal were the only club with serious interest in Lemar. However, according to Tuttosport, Juventus have now joined the race.

Arsenal have already had a bid rejected by Monaco and are reportedly ready to submit a new and improved offer (or have already).

Monaco, though, are determined not to sell Lemar after losing Bernardo Silva to Manchester City and with Tiemoue Bakayoko close to joining Chelsea.

The supposed £80m price tag they’ve put on Lemar would certainly suggest that they’re not interested in selling cheaply.

Should Monaco not come down on their asking price, Arsenal are expected to turn to Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.
