Udinese midfielder and rumoured Arsenal target, Jakub Jankto, is apparently a fan of Arsenal and English football in general.

Jankto’s agent, Beppe Riso, has been speaking to Italian TV and spilling the beans over his client’s future.

“He likes Arsenal, he is a lover of English football. He likes Juve, Inter and other teams as well,” revealed Riso [via Calciomercato].

“He’s a young man, 21, and must be calm and think only of Udinese, then we’ll see. I see him more in the Premier League than in other championships, yes.”

The comments come almost immediately after the player himself informed La Gazzette dello Sport that he supported Juventus and Arsenal as a child.

Arsenal have been linked to the 21-year-old since the end of 2016 and were even rumoured to have sent scouts to watch him play against Torino.

According to recent reports, the Gunners are set to go up against the likes of Juventus, Roma, Inter Milan, PSG and Everton for the central midfielder’s signature. While West Brom and Stoke have supposedly dropped out of the ‘race’.

Jankto, who could be viewed as a replacement for Santi Cazorla, whose best days are behind him, still has four years left on his contract at Udinese. However, given the freedom with which his agent, Riso, is speaking, it seems that he could be set for a move.

After spending 2015/16 on loan at Serie B club, Ascoli, last season, the Czech Republic international made 29 Serie A appearances, scoring five goals and assisting four. Despite being just 21, he’s been capped four times for his country.
