Inter Milan’s new Chinese owners want Alexis Sanchez to join as the “poster boy” for a new era at the San Siro according to reports from Italy.

  • Inter are willing to spend big to bring Alexis back to Italy
  • Alexis reportedly wants £400k per week

In a new and interesting twist, Inter Milan have seemingly entered the race for Alexis Sanchez.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter’s Chinese owners want to sign Alexis to mark a new era of big spending at the club.

They’re looking to capitalise on clubs’ reluctance to meet Alexis’ £400k per week wage demands.

However, this move is unlikely to happen due to Inter’s struggles with Financial Fair Play.

It’s been reported that Inter Milan will need to sell players to satisfy FFP regulations. In that situation, you’d think they wouldn’t be able to pay what it’d take to bring Alexis to the club.

Alexis made his first stride in Europe with Serie A club Udinese, so would be familiar with life in Italy.

At the moment, though, it seems he could be staying at Arsenal.
