Olivier Giroud has been included in Arsenal’s pre-season tour for their trips to Australia and China, despite speculation he could leave the club.

  • Giroud has been linked with Everton, West Ham, Marseille and Lyon
  • There was speculation he was close to leaving after Lacazette’s arrival
  • Him being on tour suggests a deal isn’t imminent

There was plenty of talk about Giroud’s future at Arsenal as it became apparent Arsenal were brining in another striker.

Giroud wasn’t a starter last season, and the arrival of Alexandre Lacazette suggested his time at the club could be coming to an end.

However, Giroud has been included in Arsenal’s 25-man squad travelling to Australia and China, which means a move is far from imminent.

Giroud has been linked with Everton, West Ham, Marseille and Lyon. Reports in England believed a move to Everton was close, while French reports indicated that Marseille were confident of doing a deal.

With Giroud taking full part in pre-season, though, it seems clear that Arsenal aren’t actively trying to sell him.
