Arsenal defender Kieran Gibbs looks set for a summer exit with the amount of Premier League interest coming his way.

  • Asking price lowered from £15 to £8m
  • Gibbs’ wage demands are also an obstacle
  • Watford, Stoke and Brighton still have an interest

It had been reported that Arsenal risked scaring off suitors with their £15m valuation of Gibbs but have since lowered their demands to £8m to push a deal sooner.

The Mirror reported that Newcastle are leading the chase for his signature, but Watford, Stoke and Brighton are three three clubs reportedly keen too.

Gibbs is expected to leave Arsenal this summer after the arrival of Bosnian left back Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer. His lofty wage demands are proving to be an obstacles, however.

The 27-year-old made just 11 Premier League appearances last season. Gibbs is in the last 12 months of his deal, meaning an exit is coming this summer or next.
