Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny rejected a move to Leicester City as he’s settled in London.

  • Arsenal reportedly accepted a £10m offer from Leicester
  • Elneny is enjoying life in London and rejected a move

Elneny has very much been a squad player since arriving from Basel in January 2016, and it seems he’s very much expendable. According to reports, Arsenal accepted a £10m offer from Leicester, but the midfielder is keen to stay.

The 25-year-old isn’t too highly-rated at Arsenal, and  it appears the club wouldn’t be too upset if he left. With so much competition in the engine room, Elneny has a tough task getting into the side.

Despite struggling for minutes, the midfielder is still said to be happy with life in London and hence rejected the move. He’s apparently content with the game time he’s receiving.

Elneny made 22 appearances in all competition last season. He’s currently with the squad in China and has featured exclusively at centre-back due to a lack of available defenders.
