The Daily Star are claiming that Alexis Sanchez is going to force a move away from Arsenal to Paris Saint-Germain… and Manchester City.

Unless the rules have suddenly changed and Alexis can force a move to two teams this summer, something is amiss with the Daily Star’s recent reports regarding the Chilean’s future.

On Sunday morning, the Daily Star posted a report citing the Mirror claiming that Alexis is set to hand in a transfer request this week in order to force through a move to Manchester City.

City have been linked with a move for the 28-year-old all summer and while Arsenal are apparently dead-set on not selling to a Premier League rival, the rumours refuse to die.

Pep Guardiola’s side are said to be willing to offer Alexis £320k-per-week, which would make him the highest paid player at the club by far.

Interestingly, however, 31 minutes later, the Daily Star then claimed that Alexis is forcing a move away from Arsenal to PSG.

The Ligue 1 giants are allegedly plotting a £35m ‘raid’ on Arsenal. T

his time, they cite the Sunday Express.

Arsene Wenger still insists that whether Alexis, who has just one year left on his current contract, puts pen to paper on a new deal or not, he’s staying at Arsenal next season.

After the Gunners’ 5-2 win over Benfica in the Emirates Cup on Saturday, the boss once again reiterated that nothing has changed, saying, “There’s no development – he is staying, of course.”

The forward is expected back in training on Tuesday after his Sunday return was postponed due to the flu. At least that’s what we’re being told.

However, as the Star has shown us, you definitely can’t believe everything you read so until the transfer window closes or there’s a definitive conclusion either way, we’ll just have to take Wenger’s word for it.
