Dan Crowley is set to join Dutch team, Willem II, on a permanent deal.

Crowley is set to complete a shock move to Eredivisie side Willem II despite only signing for Arsenal from Aston Villa’s youth team three years ago.

The midfielder has since been out on loan to Barnsley, Oxford United and fellow Eredivisie club, Go Ahead Eagles, where he made 16 league appearances and scored twice.

According to the Daily Mail, Crowley sees more opportunities to get first team football with Willem II, who finished 13th in the Dutch league last season.

The 19-year-old is currently having his medical with the club ahead of signing a three-year deal.

It’s a shame to see such a talented youngster leave so abruptly but Crowley obviously believes in himself and if he sees his career progressing further with Willem II than at Arsenal, good luck to him.
