Santi Cazorla is continuing to work hard in the gym as he fights to recover from his long-term ankle injury.

Despite recent claims that Cazorla is set to be sidelined until April 2018 instead of November 2017, the midfielder appears to still be pushing himself further and further in the gym.

The 32-year-old was sidelined against Ludogorets back in October last season after getting kicked.

After the ankle problem refused to rectify itself, the midfielder was flown to Sweden for an operation.

The wound from the operation then didn’t heal shut, and Cazorla had to have skin grafts, which then, in turn, also went wrong.

Cazorla only has one year left on his Arsenal deal and with him being sidelined for so long, it’s doubtful that the club will renew it.

It’s a shame, as he’s a fan favourite.

On a positive note, it’s good to see him working towards his fitness in the gym.
