Barcelona are hoping that Hector Bellerin asks Arsenal to let him leave so they can do negotiate a deal this summer.

The Catalan club have decided that Arsenal are being too stubborn over Bellerin and have resorted to other tactics. According to Sport, they want Bellerin to “unblock” the situation by telling Arsenal that he wants to leave.

Barcelona hope if Bellerin asks Arsenal to let him to the “club of his dreams”, it could give them an opening to start negotiations. However, the right-back’s new contract might stop their master plan from happening.

The right-back, believed to be worth £50m, just recently signed a new long-term deal and said he was happy at Arsenal, stating that he wouldn’t have signed the contract if he didn’t want to be at the club.

But Barcelona remain convinced he desperately wants to join them and they want the player to do what’s necessary to force the move, despite the respect Bellerin has for the club and Arsene Wenger.

With any luck, Arsenal will put their foot down and tell Barcelona, again, that Bellerin is going nowhere.
