Arsene Wenger is delighted with his new signing and believes he will help Arsenal challenge for the title next season.

If you believe the stories, Arsenal spent a decade scouting Lacazette. Since he exploded as a goalscorer in 2013, Lacazette always seemed like an obvious target. Yet, for whatever reason, the move never happened until now.
Some thought that Wenger simply didn’t rate him, but that doesn’t appear to be the case if his comments are anything to go by. “We are very happy to have Alexandre join our group,” Wenger told the official Arsenal website.
“He has shown over a number of years that he can score goals and that he is a very efficient finisher. As well, he has very interesting technical qualities and a strong character.
“So he is a guy who is a great addition for us, and someone who will help us challenge at the top level this season.”
Hopefully, Lacazette’s efficient finishing will earn us a few extra points next season and get us closer to the Premier League title.
He will, of course, need adequate support from the rest of team and Arsenal should be in the process of putting those pieces in place.
For now, though, we can enjoy our new signing.
