Arsenal are reportedly willing to make a move for Marco Asensio.

  • Asensio had a great season for Real Madrid last season
  • He could struggle for consistent playing time next season
  • Arsenal, amongst others, are hoping to take advantage of that

Asensio had a breakthrough season for Madrid last season, and capped off a great season with a goal in the Champions League and some impressive performances for Spain in the U21 European Championships.

However, according to reports, he could struggle for consistent game time in Madrid’s starting eleven next season, which could allow the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United to move for the player.

Arsenal are said to be big admirers of Asensio, but will find it very difficult to prise him away from Madrid, who obviously don’t want to sell. They may have to pay in excess of €50m given Liverpool’s previous approach.

Asensio is one of Spain’s biggest talents and could be a core part of Madrid’s team for a long time. It’s unlikely Arsenal are signing him any time soon.
