Arsenal are reportedly only asking for £12.4m for Lucas Perez.

Despite previous reports that Arsenal were demanding between £14m and £16m for Lucas, who wants a move away from north London this summer, it’s now rumoured that Arsene Wenger only wants £12.4m (€14m) for the 28-year-old.

It was initially thought that the Gunners were eager to make back most of the cash they handed Deportivo last season for the forward, which was over £17m. However, most clubs weren’t willing to pay that much and, as an alternative, Fenerbahce were allegedly keen to take Lucas on loan instead.

Now, according to Fotospor, Arsenal are only asking for £12.4m for the Spaniard, most likely making him more affordable and suggesting that the Gunners want to get rid of Lucas rather than simply loan him out.

story trackerTalks with Fenerbahce are expected to take place this week after the forward was left in London while the rest of the Arsenal squad flew to Sydney for their pre-season tour.

Lucas has also lost the #9 shirt to the Gunners’ record signing, Alexandre Lacazette, and has been temporarily handed #28, again signalling that he could be heading for the exit soon.
