Arsenal’s £52m deal to sign Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette will be announced tonight, with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar next on the agenda.

According to the Express, Arsenal will make Lacazette their most expensive transfer. He’s believed to have completed a medical at the London Colney training ground and is completing all the formalities before the deal is official announced by Arsenal.

Reports allege the Gunners have been finalising paperwork this morning, and after Lacazette’s deal is confirmed the Frenchman will join his new teammates on their pre-season tour. The 26-year-old will only be Arsenal’s second signing of the summer, following Sead Kolasinac’s free transfer from Schalke.

And after completing the club-record deal, Monaco’s Thomas Lemar is the next target for Arsenal. The London club are also looking at Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez if they’re unable to come to an agreement for Lemar – with reports suggesting Monaco won’t sell for under £80m.

But supporters will rejoice following the news that Lacazette will be announced tonight, although the details of his club-record deal are unlikely to be disclosed. He’s rumoured to have signed a contract worth £200k-per-week.
