Arsenal are believed to be preparing for Alexis Sanchez’ summer exit by targeting Celtic striker Mousa Dembele.

According to the Express, Dembele could be sold for around £30m-£40m, with Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers saying the club would be open to letting him go after the Champions League qualifiers.

Dembele enjoyed an outstanding campaign for the Bhoys, scoring 32 goals in 48 games in all competitions after joining from Championship club Fulham, and has been linked with Arsenal all summer.

With Alexis Sanchez hinted that the Gunners were the only thing standing in his way of an exit, Arsenal are sounding out credible attacking replacements to ensure they can still challenge on all fronts next season.

Celtic will be desperate to get as much value out of the centre-forward as possible given the number of clubs believed to be monitoring his progress, meaning Arsenal’s spending is likely to surpass £80m, having signed Alexandre Lacazette for £44m less than two weeks ago.
