Arsenal have brought in goalkeeping coach Sal Bibbo as the changes to the backroom staff continue.

  • Bibbo was pictured working with Petr Cech yesterday
  • His previous role was with Reading
  • Bibbo is expected to work alongside Gerry Peyton

There have been plenty of new faces on the Arsenal training ground this week as Arsenal look to expand their playing and non-playing staff.

Yesterday, pictures of a possible new goalkeeping coach emerged on social media.

That new coach is Sal Bibbo, who has reportedly been brought in to work with Arsenal’s keepers alongside current goalkeeping coach Gerry Peyton.

Bibbo has previously coached at Reading and the Nike Academy.

He’s the second new coach to join Arsenal this week, as legend Jens Lehmann began work as a new first team coach. Andy Woodman is also expected to begin working with the U23s.

Arsenal have already recruited Darren Burgess as new head of high performance and legal expert Huss Fahmy.

Additions to the backroom team were expected after Ivan Gazidis admitted that things needed shaking up. While this isn’t the most radical of shake-ups, it’s good to see new faces at the club.
