Sky Sports are reporting that Arsenal have been offered Rafinha by Barcelona.

  • Midfielder is under contract until 2020
  • He is currently injured
  • Rafinha played just 18 league games last season, averaging 60 minutes per game

The 24-year-old midfielder is believed to want to leave the Camp Nou due to a lack of playing time.

Speaking last month, Rafinha told Spanish daily Marca: “My future is open to all possibilities and is in the hands of God.

“I am a Barcelona player and the most important thing is to recover from my injury, then we will see what will happen.

“What I can say is that there are no certainties, and that everything is open.”

Back in March, Arsenal reportedly made their interest known in the player while earlier this month he was described as ‘desperate’ to leave Barcelona.

Spanish paper, Marca, report that Rafinha is interested in a move to north London, despite not mentioning Arsenal at all. They claim that the Brazilian believes that he could do well at the Emirates.

The brother of Thiago who plays for Bayern Munich, Rafinha is currently sidelined with a knee injury (menisus).

He has two caps for Brazil and one goal.

His current contract runs until 2020.
