The odds on Thomas Lemar joining Arsenal have been cut by the bookmakers.

  • Odds slashed on Arsenal to sign Lemar
  • Gunners had a previous bid rejected
  • Monaco do not want to sell him

If you’re someone who puts stock in betting odds as an indication of how likely a transfer is, you’ll be pleased to know that Arsenal are now favourites to sign Thomas Lemar, reports Daily Star.

According to betting companies, however, Lemar will likely stay at Monaco over joining the Gunners. Tottenham Hotspur have been named as suitors but aren’t believed to be in the running.

Arsenal, as far as we know, are the only club seriously pursuing Thomas Lemar currently but aren’t making much progress. A bid of just over £30m was rejected by Monaco not too long ago, and recent reports suggest that they don’t want to sell.

Arsenal had made Lemar one of their top targets, but may have to look elsewhere if Monaco continue to play hard over him.
