Joshua Zirkzee, the 16 year old from Feyenoord said to be close to a move to Arsenal, could apparently be headed to Everton or Liverpool instead.

Sportwitness.co.uk previously covered claims that Zirkzee was on his way to Arsenal, choosing North London over Ajax, but now they’re claiming he could be set to link up with Klopp or Koeman instead. This is on the basis that the player was reportedly seen landing in Liverpool rather than London.

There’s certainly no reason to travel via Liverpool if London was really his final destination. But at this stage the only link between Zirkzee and the Merseyside clubs is this apparent sighting, with no other rumours linking him to either.

Of course, there is a Dutch connection with Koeman at Everton, and the club recently signed another young striker linked to Arsenal, Henry Onyekuru, so it’s possible they’re currently in the market trying to build for the future.

With nothing concrete to support a move to either club, this is another one where we’ll just have to wait and see what happens next, if anything.
