Lucas wants to leave Arsenal after spending a frustrating amount of time on the bench last season. Arsenal are willing to let the Spaniard leave, as long they get £13m for him.

There’s interest in Lucas from Spain, with the likes of Espanyol reportedly interested. Deportivo La Caruna, Sevilla and Malaga have also been linked.

At the moment, Arsenal stand to make a loss on a player they signed for £17m last summer. It’s turned out to be a poor bit of business as Lucas was never given the opportunities to prove himself despite having a good record whenever he played.

His departure from the club seems inevitable, especially now as Arsenal are close to bringing in fresh attacking talent from Ligue 1.
