Arsenal interested in West Ham’s Quina

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring West Ham wonderkid, Domingos Quina.

  • Quina came through the ranks at Benfica and signed for Chelsea in 2013
  • Midfielder spent three years at Chelsea before signing for West Ham
  • Teenager has been capped eight times for Portugal u19s
  • 17-year-old has already made two appearances for Slaven Bilic’s first team

Arsenal are allegedly just one of many Premier League clubs monitoring 17-year-old Quina, who signed for West Ham from Chelsea last year, after his impressive performances for Portugal at the U19 Euros in Georgia.

Portugal’s u19s have made the semi-finals and Quina has been a huge part of that, even winning man of the match against the Czech Republic, which his side won 2-1.

Apparently, the Gunners offered him a contract before his move to east London and are still keen to this day.

As soon as Quina moved to West Ham, Slaven Bilic was a huge fan of the central midfielder and promoted him to the first team almost immediately, handing him his debut against NK Domzale in the Europa League on 28 July 2016.

Four month’s later, Quina signed his first professional contract.

The teenager went on to also feature in the second leg against NK Domzale and made 14 appearances for the Hammers’ youth team, scoring once and assisting once.

Quina has two years left on his current deal with West Ham.
