Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing Real Madrid winger Lucas Vazquez this summer and are believed to have enquired about his asking price.

That’s ccording to Diario Madridista, who have suggested the Gunners are yet to make a bid but are considering an approach if they fail to make ground with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.

Vazquez would be considerably cheaper than the aforementioned duo to bring to the Emirates Stadium, but two clubs are reported to be providing competition for his signature – Liverpool and AS Roma.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is desperate to strengthen his side’s attacking options for their upcoming Champions League campaign, while Roma are seeking a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who joined Liverpool this summer.

Arsenal have three wide-men whose futures are far from resolved which could lead to them bringing in Vazquez, especially if they fail with their top targets.

Alexis Sanchez continues to be linked with Manchester City and Bayern Munich, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been linked with Liverpool and Chelsea, while Theo Walcott is the subject of interest from Everton.
