Alexis Sanchez has reportedly agree personal terms with Manchester City.

Alexis has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester City over the past two weeks after Bayern Munich were allegedly priced out of the running due to the Chilean’s huge wage demands.

While reports from Chile since last week claimed that Alexis will stay at Arsenal and at least see out the final year of his deal in north London, O Jogo [via Metro] are now saying that the 28-year-old has actually agreed terms with City having met with Pep Guardiola ahead of a £50m move.

The claims come immediately after a ‘close source’ to Alexis apparently blurted to the Chilean press that the forward is desperate for Champions League football, which Arsenal can’t offer him but City can.

“Not having European competition at Champions League level is something unordinary for Alexis. He’s much motivated by playing in it, and of course, to win it,” said the source.

Alexis talked to many national teammates in Russia. He told them about the matter… he also spoke to his family. All came to the same conclusion: that the best thing is to finish his cycle at Arsenal and go to Manchester City.

Adding, “Alexis isn’t willing to do that, for any reason. His idea is to leave right now.”

story trackerThe Gunners selling to one of their main rivals still seems rather odd as not only have Arsenal learned from the whole Robin van Persie saga, but Wenger has always said that Alexis will run down in contract in north London, even if he doesn’t extend.
