Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez is reportedly still confident of getting his move away from the Emirates Stadium this summer as the club won’t want to miss out on a potential £50m for his sale.

Arsenal are currently at a crossroads with the Chilean international. Alexis has 12 months left on his deal and has refused to sign a new contract.

The Gunners can keep him for another season and lose him for free, or sell him this summer for a reported £50m.

Manchester City are leading the chase for his signature, reports the Daily Star, but Arsenal are highly against selling to a Premier League title rival.

Bayern Munich have also been linked with the 28-year-old but have said on a number of occasions that they cannot match the asking price or player’s wage demands.

Nevertheless, Sanchez still believes Arsenal will sanction a transfer if they can raise a large sum of money to fund a replacement, having been linked with Monaco’s Thomas Lemar and Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez.

Arsene Wenger now needs to consider if it would be worse selling to a club with aspirations on winning the Premier League title next season but making a lot of money to reinvest in new players, or have a tilt at the crown this upcoming campaign and lose Alexis for free next summer.
