Zinedine Zidane wants Real president Florentino Perez to take action and ensure James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Despite unhappy duo James Rodriguez and Alvaro Morata reportedly having problems with the manager due to a lack of playing time, Zidane is keen to keep the pair at Real next season, according to Marca.

James Rodriguez has spent the season on the periphery and was left out of the Champions League final squad. The 25-year-old, who was linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United and Arsenal, scored 11 goals and made 13 assists in 33 appearances.

Regarding Alvaro Morata, the striker’s future is unresolved. Zidane can’t promise him a regular spot with Karim Benzema currently leading the line, and United are believed to be close to signing him as a result.

Rodriguez wouldn’t be cheap for any suitor, having cost Real £70m when they signed him from AS Monaco. Real also won’t let Morata go without being heavily compensated given how talented the two squad players are.

Despite not commanding respective starting places in the Real Madrid side, Rodriguez and Morato are wanted players at the Bernabeu.
